BTS (Bangtan Boys)

Known as the Princes of Pop, BTS (Bangtan Boys) are the most popular boy band in Korea. Since the band’s debut in 2013, they have become one of the best selling acts in the country’s history. Their four US number one albums have made them the fastest group since the Beatles. Their first album sold over one million copies. Their second album, Life, Part 2, rose to number one on six international music charts.

BTS is known for writing and releasing its own songs. Their lyrics cover a variety of subjects, ranging from mental health to bullying. Many BTS songs focus on self-love and empowerment. They also address social issues like elitism and bullying.

Backstreet Boys

During the 2000s, there were many popular boy bands. These included Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and Take That. All of these groups had huge impact on the pop culture. These groups sold millions of albums, and were the kings of the pop music scene.

Backstreet Boys are a popular boy band from Orlando, Florida. The band consists of Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson. They formed the band in 1993. The band’s third studio album, Millennium (1999), was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Album.

Menudo

Founded in the 1970s by producer Edgardo Diaz, Menudo was one of the most popular Latino pop music groups of the era. They were popular in their native Puerto Rico as well as throughout Latin America, but their biggest success was in the United States. They broke barriers by becoming the first major boy band to cross over into the mainstream.

Menudo had a very specific formula that gave the group longevity. Members were regularly rotated out of the group and new talent was introduced.

Shinee

Having made an impact on the Korean pop music industry, Shinee has become one of the most popular boy bands. They have been praised for their unique style and their dance routines. They are considered to be among the best live vocalists in the Korean pop industry. They have also won several awards for their performance value.

SHINee was formed under SM Entertainment in 2008. The group was originally comprised of five members. In 2011, SHINee became one of the first Korean boy bands to venture into the Japanese market. The group signed with EMI Records Japan in mid-2011. They debuted in Japan with the song “Replay.” This was the first time Shinee had a song on the Japanese chart. The song sold over 100,000 copies in Japan.

Super Junior

SM Entertainment is home to Super Junior, a popular boy band. Their discography primarily revolves around addictive, hook-filled dance tracks. The group has gained recognition and notability in North America, Europe, Asia, and South America.

Super Junior was formed in 2005 by SM Entertainment. The group consists of seven active members and two former members. They are Kyuhyun, Eunhyuk, Heechul, Siwon, Ryeowook, Donghae, and Shindong.

Super Junior first made their official debut on November 6, 2005. The group’s name was changed to Junior after the young ages of its members.

Busted

During the 2000s, Busted were a pop rock band that influenced a lot of kids. They made four albums and sold over 5 million copies. They also had four top ten singles in the UK. But in the end, Busted were forced to break up.

Busted was a group of three British musicians. The band’s members are Charlie “Eyebrows” Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne. They were born in Woodbridge, Suffolk. They started playing together with two friends when they were teenagers.

Naked Eyes

During the late ’80s, British duo David Byrne and Pete Byrne formed the group and released a series of pop and dance hits that spawned an accompanying music industry empire. Naked Eyes lasted for several years but never reached the top of the US pop charts. After a brief hiatus, the group reformed in 2005 and has been on the road ever since. Some notable tours have included The Go-Go’s, Scandal, The Human League, and The Motels. Sadly, Rob Fisher, the band’s keyboard player and lead vocalist, passed away from bowel cancer in 1999.

Hanson

During the early 90s, Hanson was one of the most popular boy bands. Their debut single, “MMMBop,” was a hit and the band landed three top 20 US Hot 100 singles.

The Hanson brothers are in their 30s now, and they’re ready to take their music on the road. They have a new album coming out, and they’ll also play concerts in New Zealand, Australia, and throughout the U.S. They’re also planning to go on a world tour in 2022.
